Ride for a Reason is more than a transportation program—it’s a movement for mobility equity. Powered by ITN (Independent Transportation Network), this service is designed for people who deserve to remain independent but may not have access to reliable rides.
To be eligible for transportation with us , you must become a member, We operate through a membership-based model to ensure safety, consistency, and personalized service. Every ride is provided by trained, insured volunteer drivers or staff using personal or donated vehicles.
To Become A Member,Fill out a membership application
The annual membership fee is $50. You will also need to fund a personal transportation account before riding with us. The recommended amount to fund your PTA is $50, and is refundable.
We accept donations of vehicles through Car Trade, which connects us to a network of areas allowing donated vehicles (or the proceeds from them) to be allocated where they are needed most.
Our community is full of people who have the same transportation needs but lack the resources to arrange for their own transportation. Our Road Scholarship program provides rides to those who want the same dignified transportation but otherwise couldn't afford it.
Standard Ride Rates
• Pickup Fee: $5.00
• Mileage Rate: $2.00 per mile
• Minimum Charge per Ride: $10.00 (Example: 1-mile ride = $2.00 + $5.00 pickup = $7.00 →
total rounded to $10 minimum)
• Extra Stop Fee: $1.50 per additional stop (e.g., convenience store on return trip)

• Pickup Fee: $5.00
• Mileage Rate: $2.75 per mile
• Minimum Charge: $15.00
